The Worcester Mosque embraced the concept of an Islamic school many years ago. Environment and academic excellence has been a main stay for the Islamic school, to provide the best education for the new generation of Muslim children.
Worcester Mosque strives to provide our children with an Islamic environment where they can be comfortable and learn the meaning of being a good Muslim. Role models among parent volunteers, staff, teachers, and administration help foster this important environment throughout the time spent in the Masjid. Character values are an important part of the curriculum and are targeted through many different avenues throughout the school day.
Academic achievement is not compromised in this environment, but encouraged and expected. Worcester Mosque knows the importance of exposing children to the required academic content expected. Our beloved Prophet, Hadhrat Muhammad-ur Rasulullaah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, 'Whomever Allah (Taa'la) desires good for, He imparts upon him understanding of the religion.' (Related by al-Bukhaari, (1/164, 6/217, 12,294 Fath) and Muslim, 4/1524)
